The Metalshop Studio is a small, but strong shop with a unique background. We prefer to focus on fewer projects at a time to maintain integrity in our work. Our vast experience, tooling, and credentials allows us to effectively design and produce any metal project one may desire from certified welding and precise structural work to the most detailed of hand forged and fabricated projects.

First, submit your details- Complete the form below with as much detail as you are able. We understand that you won’t have everything just yet, but do your best to give us what you are able. We will assess and communicate honestly if the project details and schedules fit into our current capacity.

Second, design and drafting- If we believe we can satisfy the needs of your project, we will ask you to enter into a design and drafting agreement. This phase allows us to find and determine what your project is and how it needs to be made. It will include a mutually agreed upon deposit amount, an hourly rate, and an estimate as to what this phase may need and cost. We will then draft your thoughts and details, including information from design teams, vendors, collaborators, or installation sites so we can find and resolve potential issues and effectively price the job. Beyond the necessary shop drawings this process may include finish samples, construction prototypes, mock ups, and meetings. All items and tasks will be discussed and approved by the client.

Pricing Approval and Production- Upon pricing approval we both sign a simple and clean contract that includes the shop drawings, states the scope of work, and an agreed upon payment schedule. Once the initial deposit is paid we will work you into our work schedule. Schedules can be crazy and usually are, but we like to keep things simple, so if we are designing with you we have already considered the timing needs laid out in the beginning and will be doing everything we can to hit the marks. Good client and design team engagement helps this tremendously. We will communicate timing as honestly as possible throughout the process.

Pick Up, Delivery, or Installation- This scope of work can require vastly different approaches from job to job. We will have discussed this in our design and drafting phase to determine what level of installation or delivery your project needs. We can cover a dynamic amount of options from pick up at our shop to delivery to installation regardless of complexity.
